Special Education Program Lead

This leadership role oversees special education departments within high schools. As a liaison, the specialist collaborates with school-based services to support teachers and students with disabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Liaise between the Division of School-Based Special Education Services and department personnel
- Support instructional planning for students with disabilities
- Model professional development and provide coaching within the department
- Evaluate instructional practices and contribute to teacher growth
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Masters degree or equivalent in special education, guidance, general education, educational administration, or a related field
- Certification in a secondary content area is desirable
- Three years of experience as a special education teacher working with diverse needs
- Prior teaching experiences in two distinctly different settings are preferred
