About the Role

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) is seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to join its world-class team. As a specialist in the care of children's knee conditions, you will provide comprehensive care to patients and families in specialist clinics and operating theatre settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide surgical care for children and adolescents with knee conditions, including arthroscopic surgery, ACL reconstruction, and meniscal pathology.
  • Participate in the education and training of orthopaedic trainees, surgical audit, and research activities of the unit.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols for the care of children's knee conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Recognised Surgical qualifications with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
  • Completion of approved training in Orthopaedic Surgery (AOA or equivalent).
  • Completion of approved Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery with significant knee surgery component.
  • Experience in management of children's knee conditions.
