Cafe Operations Manager

As a Cafe Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations and contribute to the local community. You will assist in serving customers, basic food preparation, and supporting a team of baristas, cafe assistants, and trainees.
The role involves:
Operations Management
• Undertaking all aspects of daily operations, including closing procedures, customer service, food and drink preparation, purchasing, storage practices, and waste disposal.
• Maintaining cleanliness of counters and customer seating areas.
• Accepting payment and providing accurate change to customers.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the cafe meets operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing cafe operations, including rostering, inventory management, and ordering stock as needed.
• Training new employees and trainees.
• Supporting the successful operation of the cafe.
• Contributing to excellence in the hospitality sector.
Requirements
• Minimum 1-2 years of managing a cafe or restaurant experience.
• Barista skills.
• Cook or chef experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
• Passion for contributing to the local community and supporting young people upskill.
• Passion for sustainable initiatives within the hospitality sector.
