Role Description

The role of a Wellbeing and Community Support Officer is to promote student wellbeing by providing social and emotional support. This involves working closely with staff, students, and families to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

This includes:

  • Providing wellbeing services to students
  • Developing strategies that support the wellbeing of the broader school community

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to collaborate effectively with the Principal, teaching staff, parents, and other stakeholders, and demonstrate a strong commitment to child safety.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing wellbeing services to students, including monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Working collaboratively with staff, students, and families to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Contributing to the development of strategies that support the wellbeing of the broader school community
Desired Qualifications and Experience

The following qualifications and experience are desired for this role:

  • Certificate IV in Youth Work or equivalent
  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Completion of anaphylaxis training
