PBS Therapist Role
One Central Health seeks a professional Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) therapist to consult with multidisciplinary teams and health professionals, including psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, dieticians, and therapy assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments
- Determine effective intervention strategies for challenging behaviours
- Develop behaviour management plans based on clinical observations, reports, and data
- Liaise with stakeholders to address clients' goals within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Train support staff in implementing behaviour management plans
- Clinical support to peer/junior therapists, case review, and problem-solving
- Complete reporting obligations in a timely manner
- Audit clients' general wellbeing and health through various tests, one-on-one interviews, and direct behavioural observations
- Collaborate with other health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team and externally to address clients' mental health issues
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment programs
- Maintain high-quality client care standards
- Stay updated on the latest PBS findings and developments internationally to ensure clients receive the best possible care
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Working With Children Check card
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current driver's license
- Relevant qualifications, degrees, and registrations
