Why We Need a Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist

To ensure the quality, safety, and sustainability of Koala's products in all markets while adhering to regulatory requirements.

The Role's Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish product compliance frameworks for various markets by defining test standards, methods, and evaluation criteria for test results.
  2. Plan, schedule, manage costs, and follow up on testing results, communicating with suppliers and stakeholders.
  3. Partner with designers and engineers on product risk assessment (FMEA), involving both design and manufacturing.
  4. Conduct in-house tests using various equipment and maintain said equipment.
  5. Apply for and renew product certifications based on market demand.
  6. Educate internal stakeholders and suppliers on compliance regulation updates.
  7. Support the Quality Specialist and Quality & Compliance Manager in quality investigations with testing evidence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and compliance roles, preferably with furniture materials expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of legal compliance requirements for furniture across different markets.
  • Understanding of testing methods on furniture standards (EN/ISO/AU/NZ).
  • Strong root cause analysis skills, familiarity with RCA tools.
  • Able to interpret technical documents and conduct simple data analysis.
  • Experience with report writing and strong communication skills.
