Gas Market Analysis Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing wholesale gas pricing recommendations. They will perform market analysis of wholesale gas markets in east coast Australia and Western Australia, undertaking economic analysis of gas projects and other commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities include interfacing with supply chain personnel to determine quantities of gas that can be made available for sale, monitoring and analysing facilitated gas markets, engaging with gas market infrastructure providers, and interacting with gas trading and gas contract negotiating personnel.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require a minimum undergraduate degree, at least 3 years of professional experience, and the right to work in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident, New Zealand citizen).

Desirable qualifications include an engineering degree, holding undergraduate engineering degree and holding or in process of obtaining graduate or post-graduate commercial qualifications (e.g. Commerce / Finance / Accounting / MBA), more than 5 years of professional experience, experience in oil and gas or adjacent industries, supply chain experience, and direct experience in East Coast Australia wholesale gas markets.
