Aboriginal Youth Development Specialist

We are seeking a professional to provide specialist guidance and support across our programs, ensuring culturally appropriate and evidence-based practices that improve outcomes for Aboriginal children, young people, families, and carers.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with management to develop and implement culturally responsive practices in working with Aboriginal children/young people, parents and carers.
- Provide expert advice on effective strategies for improving outcomes for Aboriginal children, young people, families, and carers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partner agencies and community groups, to promote the wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people.
- Must identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander decent and have an understanding of the issues impacting Aboriginal people and their wellbeing.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Early Education, or similar (equivalent experience considered).
- Demonstrated ability to use a culturally appropriate approach in implementing effective models of intervention, creating opportunities, empowering, and promoting the wellbeing of young people through engagement of families and carers.
