Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and running tools, infrastructure, and capabilities that our engineers use to deliver business value.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers who are passionate about infrastructure as code and software eating the world. You will have the chance to collaborate with customer-facing product engineers to design, build, and run 'platforms' that deliver customer value at greater quality, velocity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build tools, infrastructure, and capabilities that support our engineering teams
  • Collaborate with customer-facing product engineers to design and build 'platforms' that deliver customer value
  • Work with data centre networks and DWDM underlay to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable infrastructure
  • Contribute to a culture of quality, inclusiveness, and excellence
  • Coach and mentor engineers to improve software development practices

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of routing protocols BGP, OSPF
  • Experience working with data centre networks and DWDM underlay
  • Proficiency with Python and automation tools
  • Solid understanding of AWS cloud frameworks
