About the RoleWe seek a Senior Lawyer with 5-8 years of experience in Government procurement or projects, contract law, procurement, or commercial arrangements in a boutique or large legal or consulting firm, or Government department.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for complex projects and a desire to shape the future of Australia's defence and national security landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver nationally significant and high-profile projects for the defence of Australia in the growing maritime, air, land, space, and joint domains.
- Advise on procurement, commercial law, and contracting issues, including procurement options, policy, and planning, tender and scope development, contract drafting, and negotiation strategy setting.
- Take a leading role in the day-to-day management and administration of a team of junior personnel and contribute to client relationships and outcomes.
- 5-8 years of experience in Government procurement or projects, contract law, procurement, or commercial arrangements.
- AGSVA-issued security clearance is essential.
- Australian citizenship and an active NV1 clearance at minimum.
