Job Summary
Ventia is seeking a skilled Sweeper Operator to join their Defence Base Services contract at a Defence site. As a key member of our Grounds Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily sweeping of the Defence site, including runways, on both night and day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily sweeping duties as scheduled, adhering to management standards and customer expectations.
- Conduct general labouring duties as required, supporting the smooth operation of the site.
- Ensure road sweeping work meets the required standards, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Complete site inductions and accreditation for customer sites, as necessary.
- Perform start-up, wash-down, and routine maintenance procedures for equipment.
Requirements
- Hold a current MR licence or higher.
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in truck driving.
- Be proficient in driving a manual operated truck.
- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Be able to work autonomously, while maintaining a company-driven focus.
