Role Overview
We are looking for a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide expert clinical leadership within our Medical Services. This position involves overseeing a 32-bed mixed medical ward that caters to patients with Acute Stroke, Neurology, and General Medicine needs.
As a NUM, you will inspire and guide a dedicated nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Your commitment to excellence and compassion will be crucial in fostering a high-performing team focused on safety and quality outcomes. You will cultivate an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere, ensuring engagement among patients, staff, and stakeholders. In addition to your leadership role, you will be responsible for meeting key quality assurance metrics and achieving operational, financial, and workforce management objectives.
Reporting to the Service Manager for Medicine, you will benefit from a supportive leadership team dedicated to your professional growth, including access to senior nursing staff and medical professionals.

Qualifications:
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 5 years' clinical experience in medical nursing
• Postgraduate qualification in a specialty area or working towards one
Desirable Experience:
• Experience in departmental management or acting in a managerial capacity
• Nursing experience in both public and private healthcare settings
