Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Asset Management Team, you will play a vital role in managing and delivering capital projects at our smelter.

About the Role:

  • You will provide technical expertise to team members across engineering projects, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Manage and execute engineering projects from initiation to completion, identifying and mitigating project risks along the way.
  • Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with peers and project owners, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits for compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with consultants, suppliers, and vendors to ensure services are provided within plan and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in mining/resources industry.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Able to achieve results in a demanding environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with project management tools and systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP is highly regarded.
