Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA Norris Road Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service in Bracken Ridge. This is a permanent, part-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.
  • Develop and manage quality programs that cater to the needs of children and families.
  • Support the Coordinator with staff management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including record-keeping and communication with families and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Completed (or actively studying) relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services).
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare.
  • Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary of $65,000 - $70,000 per annum, plus 17.5% leave loading. Additionally, they will enjoy a range of benefits, including administration hours off the floor, split shift allowance payments, paid team meetings, free YMCA gym membership, discounted rates at our childcare facilities, and more.
