Protective Service Officer Job Opportunity

The Queensland Police Service is seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to join our Protective Services Group as a Protective Service Officer.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct observations of government buildings and facilities, ensuring a high level of security is maintained.
    • Operate specialized security equipment and exercise authorized powers under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000.
    • Provide backup assistance in critical incident situations and control entry and parking on government property.
    • Detect and report fires and building hazards, and assist with emergency evacuations.
    • Undertake activities and responsibilities in accordance with procedural and policy manuals, including relevant legislation.
    • Maintain high standards of communication with clients and the public.
    • Provide supervision, training, and support to other members of Protective Services Group.

  • Requirements:

    • Successful applicants will undertake the Protective Services Officer Course facilitated by Protective Services Group.
    • Requires wearing of uniform.

Qualifications:

  • Current First Aid Medical Certificate.

The selected candidate will be offered a role that promotes community safety and provides opportunities for personal growth and development.
