We're looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Cadet in our News and Current Affairs division.

We're offering 12-month Cadetships to recent graduates wanting to build careers in broadcast and digital journalism.
The RoleAs a Cadet, you'll contribute to SBS News and Current Affairs programs and website in a variety of ways, including researching, producing and reporting.
You'll be exposed to a number of platforms including TV, Radio and Online, and will have the opportunity to work in our Sydney offices, Canberra and Melbourne bureaus, and NITV news and current affairs programs.
The role is structured to include rostered evening and weekend work to support the needs of a busy 24/7 news operation.
What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A completed tertiary qualification in Journalism or another relevant specialty
- Some experience in television, radio and/or online reporting or production
- A sound knowledge of national and international affairs
- The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Determination, initiative and curiosity to generate story ideas

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible work arrangements, health checks, salary packaging, and an employee assistance program.
