Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Psychiatrist to work on our inpatient ward team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to gain valuable experience and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Description

As a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric care to patients on our inpatient ward. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients. You will also participate in clinical decision-making and contribute to the development of ward policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patients with complex mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development of ward policies and procedures
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • Registration as a Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Assessment completed by The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
  • Australia working rights
