Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PHP API developer to join our client, a reputable company specializing in end-to-end telecommunications solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain secure, fast, and resilient APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Design and implement APIs that enforce input validation, data protection, rate limiting, encryption, and transport security.
  • Maintain clear versioning, consistent error handling, and strong observability through structured logs, metrics, and tracing.
  • Document APIs using OpenAPI for clear understanding and maintenance.
  • Conduct regular code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working with PHP8+, Symfony, SQL, and OpenAPI.
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, Postgres) is advantageous.
  • Nginx experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a small team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas clearly.
  • Independent thinker.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as GitHub.
  • Experience with docker containers would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Linux-based operating systems (Redhat).
