Mental Health Inpatient Unit Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The successful candidate will provide person-centered nursing care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, patient-focused care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Support and supervise less experienced clinicians to ensure exceptional care outcomes.
- Develop effective clinical communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Apply evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for individualized care plans.
- Supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant authority.
- Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of multidisciplinary team dynamics.
- Effective clinical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive prior to offer.
