Clinical Laboratory Scientist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Central Adelaide. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for performing a range of routine diagnostic techniques, including participation in problem definition, planning, execution, analysis and reporting.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of scientific and technical principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced laboratory environment. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of new techniques and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of routine diagnostic techniques, including microbiology and bacteriology tests
- Participate in problem definition, planning, execution, analysis and reporting of test results
- Contribute to the development of new techniques and methodologies
- Assist in the training and supervision of technical laboratory staff
- Provide reports and recommendations on technical suitability of equipment, procedures and results
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Science or related field
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description
