Cell Site Installation and Network Maintenance Specialist

This role involves the installation, maintenance and testing of cell site infrastructure across a wide geographic area.

  • Responsibilities include routine maintenance of electronic equipment at cell sites, including base stations, microwave radios and fiber optic transport systems.
  • Fiber splicing, termination and testing are also key responsibilities.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring base station performance and determining capacity additions in conjunction with field and switch personnel.
  • Additional duties include assisting tower crews in aligning microwave paths, repairing PCS/microwave lines and antennas, and troubleshooting tower top equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports is also an essential part of this role.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related technical field is required.
  • Current driver's license and good driving record are essential, as well as the ability to pass pre-employment checks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • The position requires a significant amount of travel, typically exceeding 50% of work time.
  • The candidate must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and carrying it over short distances.
