Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our fire support team as a volunteer. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in your community and develop new skills.

About the Role:

  • You will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality emergency services through a collaborative approach.
  • As a volunteer, you will respond to emergency incidents, adhere to strict safety protocols, and promote community safety.
  • You will participate in regular training courses, drills, and community education activities to enhance your competencies and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team.
  • Promote community safety through participation in education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular training and drills.
  • Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting equipment safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Australian permanent resident status.
  • Employer's consent to attend emergencies.
  • Lives or works within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire stations.
