Financial Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Melbourne, Australia.

About the Role

This is a 12-month maternity cover contract position available from December. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the finance and accounting operations for ARB Middle East and ARB Head Office Manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain foreign currency bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register for ARB Middle East.
  • Group fleet reporting.
  • Preparation and submission of ARB Middle East payroll.
  • Maintain details of ARB rebate programs.
  • Completion and review of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including timely clearance of reconciling items.
  • Assist in the timely preparation of monthly board packs.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the wider Finance department as required.
  • Responsibility for Intercompany remittances for monthly balance transfers.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as requested by management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience and CA/CPA qualified.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables).
  • JDE or major ERP Experience would be highly regarded.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and meet set deadlines.
