The Health, Safety, and Workplace Advisor role is a pivotal position within our organization.
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Health, Safety, and Workplace Advisor. This individual will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a culture of safety and compliance across the facility.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Occupational Health and Safety Policies: The successful candidate will develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Safety Training and Education: Deliver safety training to employees and contractors to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Risk Assessments and Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate them.
- Hazard Prevention Programs: Facilitate and promote hazard prevention programs to minimize workplace injuries and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Safety Incidents and Investigations: Investigate safety incidents and maintain accurate records of incidents, safety concerns, and follow-up actions.
- Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Safety Advisor role, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector, and relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certifications and Compliance: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, and certification in relevant health and safety courses.
