The role

This role plays a key part in the operational delivery of Auto & General's risk management strategy throughout Product and Claims & Assessing. It ensures the compliance and protection of the company through the implementation and maintenance of a robust documented risk framework.

This position will work across Product and Claims & Assessing to formulate and execute key risk governance initiatives for Auto & General.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining up-to-date governance documentation of Product and C&A
  • Developing and maintaining a document hierarchy map aligned to the Group's Policy Framework
  • Identifying gaps in Policies, Standards, and Procedures and addressing them through maintaining a up-to-date knowledge library
  • Drafting and gaining approval of key documents to support the risk maturity strategic program across Product and C&A
  • Ensuring alignment of all key governance documents and identifying key controls and reporting requirements within the documents
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with all stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment
  • Ensuring consistency and quality across all documents
  • Coordinating completion of existing document reviews, updating, and gaining approval within agreed timelines
  • Developing high-quality, visually appealing content which is easy to use and embed into teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of insurance experience preferred (Financial Services/Insurance)
  • Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment
  • Strong writing skills with excellent eye for detail
  • Exceptional customer service insight and delivery
  • Strong ability to negotiate & influence in challenging circumstances with tight timeframes
  • High levels of autonomy
  • Experience in creating and using writing style guides
  • Computer literate
  • Strong planning and organisational ability
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
