
Culinary Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Leader to manage the daily operations of our food services team in a 72-bed aged care facility.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals that cater to individual dietary needs and preferences.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with relevant Food Safety Programs, Australian Food Standards, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate meal production, including menu planning, food ordering, and stock control
- Lead and manage a team of chefs and cooks to ensure efficient and safe food preparation and presentation
- Maintain accurate records of food safety and quality control procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to provide exceptional resident experiences
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef or cook manager in an aged care or similar environment
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (NSW Food Authority)
- Excellent understanding of HACCP and Food Safety legislative requirements
- Demonstrated budget management and cost control skills
- Experience with therapeutic or medical diets, including dementia-specific nutrition approaches
- Training in allergen management and cross-contamination prevention
