About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality property consultancy services, with a focus on cost management and quantity surveying for major projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work closely with colleagues, providing outstanding quantity surveying services that meet client needs and align with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Delivery: Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver quantity surveying services that meet client needs and align with quality standards.
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost planning, estimation, and ongoing cost management for a variety of property and infrastructure projects.
  • Detailed Reporting: Prepare accurate cost reports, tender documentation, and financial analyses to support decision-making and project delivery.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct financial feasibility studies and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved outcomes.
  • Expert Advisory: Provide strategic advice on procurement strategies, contractual matters, and risk management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of experience working as a client-side Quantity Surveyor in Australia.
  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience providing full project services for major property and infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CostX and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Professional Accreditation: Corporate membership or working towards accreditation with AIQS or RICS.
  • Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
  • Analytical Abilities: Advanced analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional client-facing and relationship management skills.
  • Team Player: Strong organisational skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
