We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fire Engineer to lead our Queensland Fire Engineering team in Australia. As a key member of our National Fire Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing new business, fostering valued client relationships, managing project performance, and promoting a culture of technical and professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of our business against strategic goals;
- Communicate and manage relationships with internal & external stakeholders;
- Lead the development of fire strategies and implement bespoke solutions;
- Lead local, national, and international projects of significance;
- Utilize code consultancy, risk assessment, and fire, smoke & egress modeling consultancy skills;
- Train, mentor, and supervise emerging professionals throughout their development;
- Maintain and manage strong client relationships and identify key business development opportunities;
- Work across our multidisciplinary specialist and building services teams;
- Develop technical papers and speak at industry events.
We are looking for a Senior Fire Engineer with:
Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent industry experience;Possess RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland);Graduate Diploma or Masters in Fire Safety Engineering (desirable);Extensive relevant consulting experience on building fire safety engineering projects;Experience across a range of sectors, including medium-to-large scale projects and highly complex facilities;Capacity to support the technical requirements of code consultancy, risk assessments, and fire, smoke & egress modeling;Capacity to support clients and liaise with local authorities, fire brigade, surveyors, multidisciplinary consultants, and other stakeholders to efficiently deliver projects;Capacity to train and mentor engineers in both technical and industry-based forums;Your willingness to share technical knowledge and lessons learned while fostering a culture of development and growth within your team.About YouWe are looking for a natural connector, problem solver, and team player who is open, curious, passionate, adaptable, and ready to do the kind of work the world needs.
