Gamuda Engineering is a leading Engineering and Construction contractor specialising in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport, Civil and Energy Infrastructure projects across Australia.

We are currently delivering several major transport infrastructure projects, including the Sydney Metro West – Western Tunnelling Package and the Coffs Harbour Bypass. Our team has also been shortlisted for several major transport infrastructure projects in Melbourne.

The Role

As our Strategic Precontracts Manager, you will work closely with our Chief Revenue Officer to identify strategic project opportunities and develop winning bid campaigns and strategies that support Gamuda's growth initiatives.

  • You will be responsible for identifying opportunities that align with our strategic objectives and building strong relationships with clients and key external stakeholders.
  • You will develop partnering arrangements with potential Joint Venture partners, consultants and supply chain, and drive design innovation, value engineering and best practice across our Pre-contracts function.
  • You will collaborate closely with our Engineering and Construction teams to produce the best possible outcomes for the business.

Your skills & experience

You will ideally have Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar and local or international experience working with major construction companies in both the successful winning and delivery of large scale infrastructure projects.

  • You will have successfully led Pre-contracts and Bid Teams within the Australian infrastructure market.
  • You will have established relationships with key client stakeholders, contractors and design consultancies.
  • You will have the ability to think and plan strategically across a national portfolio of project opportunities.
  • You will have a track record of delivering innovation and efficiencies in Pre-contracts space.

Our estimated salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. We encourage and support a diverse and inclusive workforce, including those from overseas, current Visa holders, and candidates from outside the construction and engineering sector.
