Geotechnical Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning Engineer to join our team at Bravus Mining & Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and scheduling of medium-term operations, ensuring safe working conditions and maximising resource utilisation.

• Design and schedule medium-term operations to achieve safe and efficient mining practices.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise resource utilisation and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
• Contribute to the preparation and development of the annual budget.

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Over 5 years open cut mining engineering experience, with experience in terrace mining, drill and blast and truck shovel planning.
• High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical understanding of geotechnical bulk materials handling.
• In-depth knowledge of legislation and policies for Australian Coal Operations.
• Proficiency in usage of mine and scheduling design tools – Vulcan and SPRY.
• Engineering skills and applied experience with open cut project development, development of mine safety management plans.
