Data Center Technical Operations Engineer

Job Description:You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Collaborate with people across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.
- Maintain physical infrastructure of AWS ensuring operational performance in areas of safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.
- Sustain availability, cost management, risk assessment, and mitigation, review corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, and metric reporting.
- Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern and undertake routine maintenance and emergency service of various critical systems.
You will work on large-scale data centers, perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility management. Provide operational readings and key performance indicators to ensure uptime is maintained. On-site management of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors ensuring compliance with established practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage vendors and contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading works in large-scale critical environments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service-Level Agreements (SLA).
- Provide operational readings and key performance indicators to ensure uptime is maintained.
This role requires experience in facilities management, maintaining a data center or other critical space facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
