Lead Neurology Service Growth

As a Consultant Neurologist, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our department's services. You will be responsible for leading and growing an emerging neurology service, with strong support to develop subspecialty and stroke services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist input for acute and complex neurological presentations.
  • Run outpatient clinics and provide consults to inpatient teams.
  • Contribute to diagnostic and neurophysiology services including EEG, nerve conduction studies, and EMG.
  • Participate in stroke and neurology pathway development.
  • Mentor and teach junior doctors and contribute to service quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent overseas specialist qualifications.
  • Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Passion for service development and clinical leadership.
  • Teaching, clinical governance, and research participation are highly valued.
