Job Title: Financial Accounting Specialist

The role of Financial Accounting Specialist is crucial to the month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple entities.

This position involves preparing monthly GST lodgements for companies, corporate result reports, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including provisional tax calculations and quarterly tax requirements.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in forecasting overheads, variance analysis, and preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Reconciliations & Reporting: Complete corporate reporting using software, prepare roll-forward packs, and assist with ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Vendor Management: Review and approve payments for vendor account setup requests and intercompany matrices.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Assist in preparation and delivery of internal and external audits.
  • Aged Debtors Management: Manage aged debtor invoices and liaise with the business to ensure timely settlement of customer accounts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA/CA qualifications.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting, particularly with month-end processes and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP tools is preferred.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
