Job Description

Workforce Australia for Individuals is seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our team at THE GRAND NEWCASTLE GFH PTY LTD. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare, cook, and season various foods according to our menu, ensuring high-quality presentation and presentation.
  2. Inventory Management: Estimate the quantities and costs of supplies needed, such as food and ingredients, and inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure they meet established standards.
  3. Team Collaboration: Support senior chefs in planning and developing recipes and menus, and work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  4. Health and Safety: Maintain a strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) and HACCP protocols, and ensure compliance with food health and safety standards and dietary requirements.
Requirements
  1. Certification: Hold Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery from Australia.
  2. Experience: Have at least 2-3 years of work experience as a cook in a similar cuisine.
  3. Skills: Possess good knowledge of occupational health and safety (WHS) and HACCP, and excellent communication skills.
  4. Relocation: Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.
