Job Description: Bakery Assistant Manager

This exciting opportunity exists within our Emu Park store, where you will play a key role in leading the bakery department. Reporting directly to the Bakery Manager, your responsibilities will include managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes, and more.

Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Fresh food retail knowledge (although not essential)
  • The ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and order control
  • An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
  • Accurate rostering and time management skills
  • Passion and enthusiasm, with a 'hands-on' approach
  • Unparalleled commitment to customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both team members and management
  • A flair for merchandising and visual display
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills, with a focus on coaching, training, and performance management
