Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our Electronic Trading Platform (ETP) team. As a key member of this dynamic and innovative group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's low latency trading infrastructure runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services supporting our low latency trading infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain real-time infrastructure monitoring and automation services to ensure seamless trading operations.
  • Build advanced trading analytics solutions leveraging real-time network packet capture.
  • Collaborate effectively with our global team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Golang or Python, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a low-latency trading environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a willingness to work in Python or Golang.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and collaboration skills; a team player.
  • Interest in learning about low latency Linux systems, networking, and trading knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Python or Golang development.
  • Previous experience with InfluxDB, Telegraf, and Grafana.
  • Exposure to low latency systems or trading platforms.
  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Familiarity with advanced programming concepts such as concurrency and memory management.
  • Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and Linux systems.
  • Experience in writing software to support, monitor, or automate Linux systems or networks.
