We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our KinCare team in the Queanbeyan area. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly customers to live independently at home for longer.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping to help our customers maintain their independence.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
  • Transport our customers to appointments and social events, helping them stay connected with their community.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.

What We Look For:
  • You have a genuine passion for assisting our elderly community and a commitment to supporting their independence.
  • You have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle - travel is part of the role.
  • You are able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers.
  • You are available to work at least 3 days - Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
  • You are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
