IT Infrastructure Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee the administration and maintenance of our Windows-based private cloud environment. This technical role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of virtual machines hosted on a private cloud, with a strong emphasis on compliance with government security standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining Windows Server virtual machines, applying security patches, updates, and system hardening measures, monitoring system performance, logs, and vulnerabilities, performing vulnerability scanning and supporting incident response activities, managing and troubleshooting SQL Server and IIS web servers, and supporting business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server virtual machines
  • Apply security patches, updates, and system hardening measures
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and vulnerabilities
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and support incident response activities
  • Manage and troubleshoot SQL Server and IIS web servers
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Windows Server administration within a virtualized environment
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Australian Government security frameworks (e.g., ASD ISM)
  • Ability to obtain or currently hold Baseline (or higher) Commonwealth Government security clearance (Australian citizenship required)
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management and monitoring tools
  • Experience with SQL Server and IIS administration is desirable
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
