About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide care, support, and assistance to clients in Rockhampton or Yeppoon. This is a casual position requiring early starts (7:00am) to help clients meet their needs and goals.

Mercy Community Services supports individuals in need to live healthy lives within inclusive communities. Our services span the continuum of aged care, from home care to respite, aiming to help clients flourish.

As a Compassionate Care Provider, you will work with clients in their homes, following their care plans, to ensure their needs are met.

  • Assisting clients with their care requirements in accordance with their care plans and preferences.
  • Supporting clients with transportation and community access.
  • Monitoring their condition and reporting on any changes in condition or behaviour.
  • Providing in-home personal care and daily living assistance including administering medication, manual handling, and domestic assistance.
What We Offer

A competitive salary of $38.26 - $40.25 per hour (SCHADS Home Care Aged Care Casual L3), plus superannuation and generous salary packaging available.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have completed Certificate III in Individual Support – Ageing (or similar) or studying towards equivalent (or higher qualification).
  • Have experience working alongside clients with cognitive and/or physical limitations.
  • Own a vehicle and possess a Queensland Provisional Green or above clear Driver's Licence with comprehensive insurance and service history.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
  • Be able to obtain a positive notice in the legislatively required personal history check in line with service stream compliance requirements.
