Job Overview

The Principal Facilities Services Officer will lead the review and update of school security related documentation, implement a cyclical review programme, contribute to the standardisation of documentation across portfolios, align guidelines with industry best practice, and develop communication plans for security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the review and update of School security related documentation and the implementation of a cyclical review programme.
  • Contribute to the review and standardisation of documentation across the Disaster, Emergency and School Security portfolios.
  • Align guidelines for managing School security related incidents (lockdown, active assailant situations, etc) with industry best practice.
  • Lead communication/marketing plans for security initiatives, publications and other updates.
  • Provide advice on the implementation of the Department's approach to protective security in accordance with the Queensland Protective Security Framework.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of security policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-level advice to senior executives and stakeholders.
