About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Internal Audit Senior Manager to lead our global Internal Audit team. This ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing risk-based internal audit plans, conducting audits, and providing expert guidance on audit matters.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing across a broad range of risk themes within the cryptocurrency or financial technology industry and possess a comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology and its associated risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans in line with Australian regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and review business processes, internal controls, and areas of risk.
  • Document workpapers and prepare detailed audit reports.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and verify corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient audit processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, or CAMS) is preferred.
  • Solid internal audit experience in managing country/region-level portfolios.
  • Broad audit experience across various areas, including financial crime compliance, technology, risk management, corporate governance, product, and finance.
  • Working knowledge of cryptocurrency exchange operations, blockchain technology, and wallet infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape and practical experience in assessing compliance with ASIC and AUSTRAC regulations.
