About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crime Prevention Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an inquisitive and analytically oriented professional to contribute to the detection and prevention of fraudulent activity and financial crime across various platforms and channels.

You will be responsible for identifying, reviewing and reporting suspicious activity to AUSTRAC and law enforcement bodies, providing assurance over KYC and onboarding processes for members, conducting enhanced customer due diligence in relation to high-risk members, and investigating potential fraud threats identified through transaction monitoring systems and reports.

As an AML/CTF expert, you will also be responsible for implementing improvements to IMB's fraud risk and AML/CTF monitoring systems and processes, educating IMB employees in relation to fraud and AML/CTF matters, and providing support to business projects as required.

About You

  • You have a proven track record in fraud prevention and detection, with experience in a banking and financial services environment.
  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify anomalies and trends in financial data.
  • You are highly organized and able to prioritize competing work demands in a high-volume, high-transactional back office banking environment.
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You hold relevant qualifications or certifications in AML/CTF and/or fraud prevention and detection.
