Job Opportunity

The Global Markets Group is a key sector within the banking industry, responsible for lending and debt advisory. The focus lies in energy, infrastructure, and resources with an emphasis on sustainable finance.

This Analyst/Associate role assists the GCM team with analytical and reporting tasks to grow a profitable business franchise in the energy and infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting due diligence and research on behalf of the GCM team;
  • Evaluating financial and credit risks for new and existing clients;
  • Portfolio-wide management and timely reporting;
  • Maintaining compliance with internal policies and guidelines;
  • Preparing, reading, and manipulating financial models for clients and opportunities;
  • Budget analysis and modelling.

Performance Criteria:

  • Quality and depth of analysis and thought clarity;
  • Decision-making and recommendations;
  • Responsiveness and timely report completion;
  • Able to identify, analyse, and communicate key risks and mitigants;
  • Initiative, innovation, and contribution of ideas;
  • Team collaboration and stakeholder trust.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary degree in finance, accounting, commerce, law, or engineering;
  • Post-graduate business qualification desirable;
  • Prior experience in energy, infrastructure, and resources sectors beneficial;
  • High ethical standards, attention to detail, professionalism, commercial acumen, communication skills, presentation abilities, numerical analysis skills, and financial decision-making aptitude.
