
Defence Capability Specialist

As a key member of the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the National Support Division within the Capability Directorate.
This challenging position requires a highly motivated professional to coordinate capabilities and provide expertise for whole-of-government and whole-of-nation initiatives.
About Our Team:
National Support teams work collaboratively to enable Defence to plan, organise and leverage whole-of-government and whole-of-nation capabilities to improve Defence and national resilience.
We are a small yet dynamic team of professionals who work closely together to achieve desired outcomes. Our team members come from diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences across Defence.
To succeed in this National Support role, you must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, and high-level initiative.
You will also require in-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks, government decision-making processes, and policy requirements, as well as qualifications in National Security, Strategic Studies, or similar fields.
In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to foster and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with Defence values.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to effectively contribute to the success of the National Support Division.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic outcomes
