Lead Community Support Team

This role leads teams to deliver high quality, community-based services that promote independence and inclusion for people with disabilities.

Job Description:

As a seasoned leader in community or human services, you will lead teams to provide individualized support services that empower individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing teams to deliver SIL (Supported Independent Living), daily living, social and community participation supports
  • Working with people with disabilities, managing conflict, and empowering individuals
  • Developing and implementing strategies to promote independence and inclusion for people with disabilities
  • Building strong relationships with families and networks to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in leading teams and managing programs in community or human services
  • Delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of people with disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including working with diverse stakeholders
  • Understanding of current disability issues, legislation, and standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Senior First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Intermediate IT Systems skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Provisional Green Driver's Licence, Yellow Card Exemption/NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Blue Card
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
