Respiratory Specialist Position

At a leading healthcare provider, we are seeking a respiratory specialist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, research, and education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients primarily within respiratory medicine, engaging in patient care, research, and education. They will also assist in the development, implementation, and audit of management protocols and models of care consistent with international best practice standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical care to patients primarily within respiratory medicine
  • Engaging in patient care, research, and education
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and audit of management protocols and models of care
  • Supervising hospital medical officers, registrars, fellows, locums, and trainees

The ideal candidate will hold fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and meet requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in respiratory medicine. Experience in teaching and involvement in research are desirable but not essential.

Requirements:

  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians

Working Conditions:

  • 0.2 EFT position (7 hours per week)
  • Sessional allocation may expand to include responsibility and attendance at a rural clinic
