Pediatric Communication Specialist

Description:

The role of a Pediatric Communication Specialist involves working with children aged 0-12 years to develop their communication skills. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to assess, diagnose, and treat children's communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and diagnostic reports to identify children's communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address children's communication disorders
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support children's communication development
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for Speech Pathologists to enhance their skills and knowledge in pediatric communication
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children aged 0-12 years in a communication disorder setting
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
