Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on a broad range of legal issues, including those related to gambling, consumer protection, advertising and marketing campaigns, privacy, intellectual property, anti-money laundering, e-commerce, and technology, sports, and entertainment.
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Engage with clients, Partners, and senior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and concepts and assess their legality in relation to applicable laws.
- Engage with Federal and State regulators in the gambling, gaming, and adjacent sectors.
- Provide marketing reviews and presentations.
- Offer guidance on policy developments.
- Handle licensing enquiries and applications.
- Minimum of 3-4 years post-qualification experience.
- Intellectual property, TMT, and/or general experience dealing with a highly regulated industry and Federal and/or State regulators.
- Keen interest in the media, entertainment, sports, and gambling sectors.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A solution-focused and commercial mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end matters.
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
- Ability to recognise legal issues and business development opportunities from local and international press and other media.
- Ability and commitment to be flexible and adaptable to change and feedback.
- Highly organised with the ability to plan ahead and anticipate needs and deadlines.
