Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in Southern NSW.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of business development experience and a proven track record of converting leads into client sales.
The role involves partnering with wholesale customers to drive growth across the region through educating on new products and promotions, identifying opportunities for product placement and providing ongoing account management support.
Job Description
This is a permanent full-time role that offers a competitive salary and employee benefits. The successful candidate must have the right to work full-time in Australia.
The job entails:
- Leading generation and calling new business, implementing referral schemes
- Sales visits to discuss product placement and promotional strategies with prospective clients
- Demonstrating products to prospective customers and providing further information on delivery turnarounds and credit timeframes
- Developing retention strategies to maintain strong relationships with clients
- Providing guidance to new customers on the ordering process and product mix, as well as assisting existing customers with weekly orders and troubleshooting technology issues
- Communicating issues affecting suppliers and maintaining accurate records for customer files
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication and acting on feedback
- Merchandising Youfoodz products effectively to maximize sales opportunities
- Analyzing trends to predict local impact and working with the wholesale team and marketing department to devise strategic sales and marketing strategies
- Completing weekly sales reports and forecasts, attending sales meetings, processing customer credits, and managing pricing and product lists
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- 2+ years of business development experience, including FMCG sales experience
- A strong understanding of the sales cycle and a proven ability to convert leads into client sales
- Excellent personal presentation, articulate communication, and strong relationship management skills
- Tech-savviness, passion for health and lifestyle brands, and a willingness to challenge the status quo and innovate
