As a Spiritual Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate person-centred spiritual support to residents and their families across sites.
This position embodies our commitment to holistic care—recognising that spiritual wellbeing is essential to overall health and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, fostering meaningful connections and promoting autonomy dignity and emotional wellbeing for each resident.
- Provide inclusive spiritual care that honours the diverse beliefs cultures and traditions of our community.
- Liaise with residents families and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Theology Counselling Social Sciences or equivalent at a tertiary level.
- Clinical Pastoral Education or the equivalent reflective practice training according to current industry standards.
- Certified Level Two member of Spiritual Care Australia preferred eligibility essential.
- Awareness and understanding of diverse cultures beliefs practices and traditions.
- Capability in leading public and informal rituals and services.
- Driver's License and a willingness to travel to various sites.
- Knowledge of the process of ageing and dementia awareness.
- Understanding of issues and spiritual needs surrounding grief and loss.
